Long before twerking, there was simply the “Egyptian,” a dance craze that became cultural cliche in the ’80s thanks to pop artists The Bangles who shot to superstardom with this early hit. From bankers on Wall Street to kids on skateboards, wait staff at cafes, even Princess Di and Charles, everyone was walking this way. We’re not really sure what the hell it even means, but if you need some Halloween inspiration, there’s more than a few gems in this video.
