The awkward stage. We all have them, and we all valiantly attempt to hide any shred of their existence. But unfortunately for Este and Danielle of sister band HAIM, the secret’s out.
Back in 2005, the eldest HAIM sisters were two-fifths of an all-girl group named Valli Girls, and sang the theme song for the “Trollz” cartoon series. Hear the resemblance? Us, too. Though the group’s single “Always There in You,”managed to score a spot on the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” soundtrack, Este and Danielle cut ties early, pulling out of their contract shortly after an appearance at the 2005 Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards, according to The Fader
Luckily for them, they happened to have a mega-talented kid sister to team up with and become the band you know and love today, reducing their Valli Girl stint to another awkward photo on the fireplace mantel.
